THE INFLUENCE OF SALICYLIC ACID ON GROWTH OF SUNFLOWER (HELIANTHUS SP.) PLANTLETS AND ON THE PEROXIDASE ACTIVITY IN THE PLANTLETS. Salicylic acid plays an essential role in the regulation of different physiological processes. In this paper we studied the influence of exogenous Salicylic Acid (SA) solutions, administrated in different concentrations (0.01 mM, 0.1 mM, 1.0 mM or 5.0 mM) on the growth of roots and coleoptiles of sunflower (Helianthus sp.) plantlets,  in comparison with the growth  of reference lots in plain water, and also the peroxidase activity in  the enzyme extract obtained from sunflower plantlets roots and shoots resulted after 3 and 5 days  of germination.  The obtained results showed that the exogenous salicylic acid influence the growth of sunflower plantlets and the peroxidase activity compared to that of the reference lots, the  influences depending on  the used concentration.
